APPLES iOS CHANGES AND API

If we’re being honest… Apple’s new iOS changes will affect your API and measurement of performance when it comes to your social media ads.

But first, what is API?

Application Programming Interface, also known as API, allows apps to access and update Facebook and Instagram account settings and content, create and access posts, retrieve comments on page-owned content, generate insights and update actions for users.

Changes to marketing API and Ad Insights:

  • Delayed reporting, with real-time reporting not supported

  • Only estimating the results of campaigns at an aggregated level

  • No support breakdowns such as gender, region or age

  • Set the attribution window for all campaigns at the ad set level, NOT the account level
